Driver’s Ed Programs
The National Driving Institute has not been state approved for use and is offering THE NEWS subscribers a $25.00 discount on its “Help for the Teenager Who Wants to Drive” program. It includes 30 hours of home classroom text and tests with an answer key along with 50 of behind the wheel training. Includes access to technical support, the state written and driver test (no extra charge) and no-waiting completion certificates.
The rental for “Driver’s Ed in a Box is now free. Reproducible materials cost $85.00 plus shipping. Contact the program by calling the 800 number and them you are a subscriber of THE (Tulsa Home Educators) NEWS and give them the expiration date on the card.
Tulsa Zoo Admission Free to Home Educators living in Tulsa City Limits
The following policies will apply for free admission:
All public and private schools, including homeschools, grades K-12 located inside the Tulsa city limits will be given FREE admission to the zoo Monday-Friday only (school rates are not valid on weekends and holidays). One teacher or adult chaperone per 5 students will also be given free
admission. All additional adults will be given a 50% discount on general admission provided one payment is made at the time of check-in.
The group must enter together and all schools are required to submit an online reservation at least 2 weeks in advance.
Reservations can be made online at www.tulsazoo.org and are subject to availability.
