Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

Krispy Kreme has a program where students can bring in their report card and get a free doughnut for each “A” (up to six).  We called to confirm that homeschoolers can participate and they said as long as they have their report card showing their grades with them, they are welcome to participate.  There is no information regarding this program on the Krispy Kreme website. (Please check with your local store for participation before promising your student anything.)

Texas Roadhouse

Receive a free child’s meal (K-6th) for reading your selections and meeting your goals.  Send a SASE to: THE NEWS, P.O.Box 813, Glenpool, OK 74033.

Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags over Texas Reading Program is for grades K- 6th. Deadline: January 1st each year.

For just 6 hours of recreational reading, a student is awarded a free ticket to Six Flags Over Texas. Special discounts are offered to others in the family and one “teacher” ticket is given to each participating family.

THE is the sponsoring organization for this event. The program is currently closed to groups outside of a 250-mile radius of a Six Flags park, so we are blessed to be able to participate.

Send a SASE to: THE NEWS, P.O.Box 813, Glenpool, OK 74033 (one per family).

Six Flags has decided to do everything digitally. All reading lists will be submitted by you to me online. Please send me your email address along with your request as the forms you will need to submit with your child’s reading will come via email.

The SASE is for your tickets when they are sent to you in May. You will receive your reading lists by email the beginning of December with instructions on when they are to be submitted on-line.

Here’s a recent article about companies that reward good students. As always, check with your local store about participation before promising your student anything.
